The Ohio House of Representatives Finance and Appropriation Committee charged with studying school funding has set up an Education Resource Center Web site to gather, share and provide information regarding school funding. This Legislative Committee is Chaired by Rep. Ron Amstutz, who toured Wayne County Career Center last Fall.
Part of the Committee’s process to study school funding includes public hearings on various aspects of school funding. Ohio ACTE leadeship will testify on behalf of career-technical education at the August 22 hearing on weighted funding, scheduled to take place in Akron.
“We are working with career-tech educators and leaders to make sure legislators understand the nature of career-technical education and how important weighted funding is to the success of our programs and our students,” said Terrence O’Donnell, Esq., of Bricker & Eckler and Ohio ACTE Legislative Counsel.
