Ohio ACTE Executive Board 2017-2018

Ohio ACTE's leaders are elected by the membership and serve as the governing board for Ohio ACTE. 


Nate Bishko, President
Excel TECC


Nate’s education, career, and background include diverse experiences in three districts that have laid the foundation for his position today as Director, Mayfield Excel TECC. He began teaching Physical Education in 1999 in the East Cleveland City Schools and also coaching boys basketball at Shaw High School. In 2005, he became an assistant principal at Richmond Heights High School and later a principal through 2011, at which point he obtained his current position of Director of Excel TECC—a 10-school district compact on the east side of Cleveland.


Nick Weldy, President - Elect
Miami Valley Career Center


Nick serves as the Superintendent of the Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC) located in Englewood.  In the course of his career as a professional educator, he has served as a teacher, administrator, and Board of Education member in both career-technical and traditional school districts across the Miami Valley region. He is a graduate of Covington High School, located in Covington, Ohio, Sinclair Community College, Wright State University and the University of Dayton, where he earned a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership.


Dan Murphy, Past-President
RG Drage Career Center


Dan Murphy has served career-technical education as a teacher, assistant principal, Supervisor of Curriculum and Staff, and is currently the Director at RG Drage Career Technical Center.  His education includes a B.A. from Youngstown State University, MEd from University of Toledo, Teacher certification from Mount Union, Career Based Intervention endorsement from Kent State University, Principals Licensure from Ashland University, and his Superintendents Licensure at Ashland University.  Dan currently is the Director at RG Drage Career Technical Center and previously was CTE Director at both Massillon City Schools and at Marlington Local Schools, respectively.  Dan also served as Head Football Coach at Ursuline High School in Youngstown and has 15 years of coaching experience at the high school and college levels.


Pam Hunt, Treasurer
Greene County Career Center


Pam currently serves as the Supervisor of Curriculum at Greene County Career Center and previously served as the Manager of Curriculum and Instruction for Great Oaks in Hamilton County.  Her educational background includes a B.S. from the University of Cincinnati, MEd from the University of Dayton, Vocational Supervisor Licensure from Wright State University, Principals Licensure from the University of Dayton, and Superintendent Licensure from Xavier University.



Lisa Tuttle-Huff, Secretary
Grant Career Center


Lisa Tuttle-Huff started her career as a middle school English Language Arts teacher, with most of her teaching career at Middletown City Schools for 11 years and then as a counselor for MCSD.  She served as an assistant principal and principal at Butler Technology Career and Development Schools before becoming Superintendent at Grant Career Center.  Lisa graduated from Miami University of Ohio with a Bachelor of Science in English Education in 1988 and obtained a Masters of Art of Teaching in 2001 from Marygrove College, Detroit.   In 2003, she earned the National Board Teaching Certification for the Teaching Standards.  In 2004 she obtained a Masters of Science in Counseling from the University of Dayton and in 2006 earned Administrative Licensure at the University of Dayton.   In 2009, she earned Superintendent’s Licensure from the University of Dayton and her  doctorate in Urban Educational Leadership at the University of Cincinnati in 2015.
