Timely Legislative Representation
Ohio ACTE works with legislative counsel to ensure the interest of career-technical education is represented in today’s government. We form successful partnerships with government regulators, officials, administrators and others to help them understand the influence CTE has on students and Ohio’s economy. ACTE works at the national level to protect Federal funding for Ohio’s CTE programs.
Networking and Professional Development
The All-Ohio Conference, ACTE Annual Convention and Division meetings provide opportunities to interact with other CTE educators, businesses and CTE partners. As an attendee, you choose from a variety of sessions across a wide range of subjects designed to help you take the most relevant information back to your classroom or office.
Classroom Tools and Best Practices
Each Ohio ACTE division holds their own meetings and events where attendees can learn information and practices relevant to their specific career, technical or adult education field.
CTE News
The Ohio ACTE newsletter Today’s Education Tomorrow’s Career! provides Ohio news and information specifically for career-technial educators. Ohio ACTE also delivers a monthly e-newsletter to keep members up-to-date on the latest CTE news, events and opportunities. National trends are reviewed in ACTE’s Techniques magazine, published monthly for members.
Professional Recognition
Ohio ACTE recognizes outstanding educators through an awards program designed to showcase dedicated and innovative educators. Members also have opportunities to present and share their best new ideas through peer presentations at the All-Ohio Conference.
Membership Discounts
Members receive discounted registration fees to association meetings and events, as well as product and service discounts.
Ohio ACTE members may join as many Divisions as they like in their area of interest/education. Each Division has a separate dues rate, and members may join/renew Division membership at the same time they renew Ohio ACTE membership. There is no limit to the number of Ohio Divisions a member may add to their membership, and they will receive information from that Division as a member. National ACTE Membership Divisions are separate from Ohio Divisions. On the national level, one Division is free with membership and additional Divisions cost $10 to join.
